Dear City Commissioners, Short-term rental income supports affordable housing in particular ways: a) paying for
property taxes that pay for streets, fire, police, schools and other city services; b) bringing out-of-state money to
local restaurants, shopping, tourist sites etc. that provide jobs for city/county residents and brings revenue into the
city and state budgets. Please ignore the argument that affordable housing is opposed to short-term rentals. These
concerns are very much intertwined.
