PLEASE DO NOT BAN MY BUSINESS
My name is Don Kirby 123 Bennett drive.
I am a co owner of a type 3 STR in Bozeman.
We have been in this business since 2017.
We are an important of the housing stock. Many of our clients are Bozeman residents who need a furnished rental.
We are an important part of the lodging in this town without short term rentals hotel prices would be even higher
than they are now.
We are not a possible affordable long term rental. Bozeman has been a leader in the state in our efforts to provide
affordable housing. We have been working for years to bring many stakeholders to the table to come up with
innovative solutions. Please don’t only listen to loud dark money groups that haven’t been working to solve this
problem but only demanding that you ban my business.
In conclusion Don’t demonize this small group of hard working people and think that banning this type of housing
will have any effect of housing affordability. The two just aren’t connected.
Thank you for your service to our community and your dedication to approaching this issue with a fact based
approach.
