Getting "camping" vehicles and associated matter off the streets and right of ways of Bozeman
is imperative. Individuals' housing problems are no excuse for the mess that's been made ofpublic streets and boulevards. If the city feels somehow responsible for providing space for
these folks, I would suggest finding a vacant field somewhere to move them to. And I wouldfurther suggest charging them some pittance for the use of said space as well as for the
cleanup of the mess they leave behind. If these are in fact working people and not simplyvagrants, there should be no objection to such a charge.
It is also important, I think, to restrict the use of rental properties for short term rentals.
Clearly, overbuilding in Bozeman has not made a dent in the high cost of housing here.
