I live at 3755 Galloway St C103. We have a large contingent of campers on the streets next to our apartment
complex.
The number one issue I would like you to be aware of is that my wife does not feel safe walking on those streets any
longer.
Second, by proposing new ordinances regarding “urban camping” you would be legitimizing a practice until
recently has here to fore been deemed inappropriate and dare I say unlawful on areas not zoned for that activity.
Finally it was presented to us that this agenda item is not going to be held in public. Why? It seems that this is
something that should be discussed in a public forum not behind closed doors.
While I understand you think you are in step with current legal decisions. Just because some court says it is lawful
doesn’t mean you have to follow and make our community as miserable as others that can’t think for themselves and
act in the best interest of those communities.
