Montana Board of Crime Control Funding Opportunity Dear Subscriber, MBCC is seeking applicants for the Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (Byrne SCIP) 60% State Share funding opportunity. Eligible applicants include local governments and non profit agencies. Applicants could include, but are not limited to, organizational units of government. The purpose of this funding is to prevent or reduce crime and violence, with a particular focus on gun violence and programs and initiatives that target the risk factors that are likely to lead to this kind of violence. Priorities under this funding opportunity include: 1. Initiate and support School Resource Officer (SRO) training programs 2. Initiate and support school and community-based mental health with youth-focused programs 3. Initiate co-responder training programs Approximately $540,288 will be available during the project period. How to Apply The link is available on the Funding Opportunities page on the MBCC website. Applications are due by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023. Offeror’s Call An Offeror’s Call will be hosted at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023.
