Dear Commission, I am writing to strongly oppose the movement to ban STRs in Bozeman. Banning short terms
rental will take a sledge hammer to the Bozeman economy and move the nail of affordable housing less than an
inch. There is plenty of empirical evidence from other communities who have to tried to ban short term rentals that
the bans don't help affordable house in any meaningful way-- the only guarantee is that they give tourists a limited
set of options, and locals less work.
