Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Dear Bozeman City Commission, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed additional regulations on short-term rentals within the city limits. As a resident of Bozeman, Ibelieve that enforcing the current regulations would be a more appropriate and fair solution than imposing further restrictions. It is evident that the current regulations are not being adequately enforced, and instead ofcreating new rules, we should focus on effectively implementing and monitoring the existing ones. By doing so, we can strike a balance between ensuring the well-being of our communityand allowing homeowners the freedom to responsibly utilize their properties. Furthermore, I firmly believe that imposing more restrictions on short-term rentals could infringe upon private property rights, which are fundamental to the foundation of our society.Homeownership and property rights are not exclusive to any particular group; they are rights that should be protected for all residents regardless of their socio-economic background. Implementing further restrictions on short-term rentals limits the overall diversity of the rentalmarket in Bozeman. Many owners of these properties may not be willing, nor financially able, to convert their short-term rentals into long-term options at reduced rates. Restricting shortterm rentals does not solve the larger, more pressing issue of affordable housing. This issue should not be framed as a divisive one, pitting the "greedy" against the "working class." Rather, it is about finding common ground and working together to develop sensiblesolutions that benefit everyone in our community. In conclusion, I respectfully urge the Bozeman City Commission to reconsider the proposal for additional regulations on short-term rentals. Instead, let us focus our efforts on enforcingthe current restrictions effectively, taking into account the rights of property owners and the overall well-being of our city. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope you will consider my perspective whilemaking your decision. Sincerely, Marie Schenck
