Hello!
I am a resident of Bozeman and reside at 2104 windsor street. I think making campers relocate every
5 days would have dire consequences. This has the potential to criminalize homelessness in
Bozeman. What I mean is, presumably there would be a citation given if a homeless person is
camping in the same place too long. It is very hard and down right dangerous to be a homeless
person here. The weather is too harsh. I feel that we should be doing everything we can to help save
the homeless from succumbing to the elements. I also find that banning camping adjacent to
residences would have this same effect. I do., however, see the argument for schools and daycares
and would support that aspect. If Bozeman wants to limit city camping, I would like to see a HUGE
upgrade to the warming center to compensate and help keep our unhoused residents safe. I would
happily vote for a matching tax levy (or the like) to make that happen.
Thank you,
Amanda Dibble
