Dear City Commission Members,
I want to take the time to extend my appreciation for the ban on fireworks which you passed! THANK YOU! I often
lapse into feel traumatized by loud sudden noises due to previous experiences in my life. I also have numerous pets
that are very sensitive as well. And being a lover of all wildlife and especially birds — I’m so grateful Bozeman is
taking steps to reduce the impact of unnecessary noise and pollution created by fireworks.
I know I am not alone! Direct harm is done to those of us who have mental health issues and PTSD around the
impact from fireworks. Pet owners experience distress when their pets are distressed. Plus the fire hazard! THE
FIRE HAZARD in this unprecedented time of climate change and after our community suffered losses from the
Bridger Fire and others in the past...
