Would you kindly advise me what steps will be taken to markedly improve enforcement of current speed limits, as well as those being proposed? I ask this based on my thirty years ofexperience as a resident, which tells me that street signs indicating the speed limit are quite ineffective, absent regular enforcement by the police department. I would also suggest that'regular enforcement' means something more frequent that four or five days per year. I live on Highland Boulevard and the traffic, for the most part, significantly exceeds the posted 25 mph speed limit. There is rarely, if ever, a demonstrated effort of enforcement. Thathas been the case in this part of Bozeman for many, many years. It would be a big step in the right direction, if the police would actually have a visiblepresence, on a regular basis, where they are issuing citations. The bolded portion above is important.
