HOME and HTF Programs Montana Housing Banner Affordable Housing HOME and HTF Reminders HOME Investment Partnerships and Housing Trust Fund Program Partners: Below you'll find the latest purchase price, income, rent and subsidy limits as published by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): HUD-published HOME Program Purchase Price Limits, effective July 1, 2023. HUD-published income and rent limits for the HOME and Housing Trust Fund Programs, effective June 15, 2023: HOME income limits HOME rent limits HTF income limits HTF rent limits HUD-published HOME and HTF per unit subsidy limits, effective April 7, 2023: 0BR $173,011 1BR $198,311 2BR $241,176 3BR $312,004 4BR $342,482 During the 2023 legislative session, HB 358 removed the exemption for property managers to be licensed at a housing complex for low-income individuals subsidized by any government agency or political subdivision of the United States. If your organization does not have licensed property managers at your HOME or HTF-financed properties, please reference the Montana Department of Labor and Industry’s online application for property managers: https://boards.bsd.dli.mt.gov/realty-regulation/license- information/property-manager. HOME, National Housing Trust Fund and Community Development Block Grant housing applications for new construction and preservation of affordable homes are due September 15, 2023. For more information, visit https://housing.mt.gov/Community-Housing/. Applications to use HOME-ARP funds to address homelessness are due October 31, 2023. Additional information is available on the HOME-ARP web page. The Administrative Rule Making (ARM) process will begin soon for the Emergency Shelter Facility Program, a new source of grant funds appropriated by the 2023 legislature. More information will be posted to the HOME-ARP website when available. Applications for HOME down payment assistance and CDBG homeowner rehabilitation programs are accepted on an on-going basis; see https://housing.mt.gov/Community-Housing/ for further information.
