Please re-consider building a city-owned and operated rec center, because (1) The proposed center seems
extremely (almost ridiculously) expensive (by contrast, the Gallatin County SAR building is only $7M); (2) we are
struggling to keep property taxes reasonable and this project will add at least $500 to taxes on most residences; (3)
all construction projects go over budget; (4) we can't hire enough staff for existing facilities; (5) better to rely on
private companies for these services
