Good morning, This is now another issue, they fill up shopping carts with garbage and push them along the road on Patrick Street. The amount of shopping carts is astounding as well as the smell and birds getting into them and scattering garbage all over. Also, all of the “private property, no trespassing” signs the property owner placed along N 11th street, have been taken down off the posts by said campers so that they can continue to spread out into that property. The amount of fire pits, generators, propane heaters, etc., in the tall grass is concerning given the increasingly hot temperatures. It is just a matter of time before we have a huge fire. This needs to be addressed and enforcement taken regarding these issues. During the cleanup the city conducted last month, we were told that they were not allowed to have any belongings in the right of way, which is private property. Why then is this still being allowed? These campers also make it difficult to even drive down the street, and one car must yield to the other as two cars cannot travel in opposite directions because of the campers. We have our own delivery trucks as well as vendors that cannot make the turn from Patrick Street onto N 11th. This causes problems to our business. We are still having issues with these urban campers utilizing our restrooms as bath houses. The amount of time and resources we have to spend running them out, is cumbersome and costly. Photos being sent in separate email to follow.
