Dear Mayor and Commissioners,
My name is Chris McCloud and I serve as vice president of the board of directors for Family Promise
of Gallatin Valley. I am writing this letter to support the request by Family Promise of Gallatin Valley
for an allocation of $400,000 to be used toward the purchase of the Montana Bible College campus.
The purchase and use of this property will significantly advance our mission of ending family
homelessness in Gallatin Valley. Our intended use of this facility does not end at simply providing a
roof over the heads of families in need. Our vision for this property includes everything from
emergency housing through providing community resources to families during their transition to
stability.
We feel that this property and the combination of housing and educational facilities provides a
unique opportunity to consolidate our existing operations and offer the ability to grow our services
to the community. The families we support through the stabilization process remain in the
community, attend our schools, and work in our local businesses.
