Dear city commissioners, I would like to kindly encourage you to fully support FPGV request
of $400,000.00 for the use of purchasing a property to be used for housing and emergencyshelter for the families we serve. Expansion of shelter and housing over the past 2 years has
allowed FPGV to increase services over 600% in the Bozeman area. The purchase of theformer Montana Bible College property will enable the organization to increase the number of
families even further, by providing stable shelter services and more importantly increase thenumber of housing units available for both transitional and workforce housing, which as we all
know Bozeman is in desperate need of.
Family Promise of Gallatin Valley, has an 80% success rate with the families we serve -helping them achieve stable housing, offering them childcare allowing them to secure
meaningful employment.
A decision to fully fund FPGV request of $400,000.00 will be a wise investment not only forthe people served by Family Promise, but for the city as a whole, which will benefit from their
success.
