Hello,
My name is William Christian and I am a PhD candidate at Montana State University here inBozeman. I am writing in support of the Parks Division's 2024 Cash-in-lieu of Parkland
budget proposal - specifically for the funding of new beach volleyball at Bozeman Pond.
There is a very large volleyball community in Bozeman, including many serious players. Theonly quality courts in the city right now are at Bozeman Beach. There are two courts, which is
not even sufficient for the many serious players in Bozeman, not to mention the plethora ofindividuals and families that enjoy using these courts for more recreational-level play. Having
additional sand volleyball courts would be an improvement to the recreation profile ofBozeman, and would be an exciting addition for many in our community.
