Hello,
I wrote to you 2 years ago and again last year regarding these Bird scooter littering up our city streets and
neighborhoods. It seems like the city officials simply buries their heads in the sand regarding this blatant disregard
for the rules for the people renting these scooters. It seems like there are designated ares where these scooters are
allowed to be stored. It would further make sense that the renters are supposed to return these scooters to their
designated ares after use. That obviously isn’t happening as I see these scooter strewn across the city, east to west
and north to south. They are certainly an eyesore and I would think you would want to stop this practice but it
appears you are doing nothing. I could be wrong, but if I am, kindly enlighten me on what policies and procedures
you have put in place to curb this negligent activity. I notice that if I break the rules of the city, I get punished with
citations, late fees, etc. but when these people break the rules they get away scott free. It isn’t right and I would like
to see you enforce the rules and punish these people who leave these scooter wherever they choose around the city
of Bozeman without any apparent violations. If there are no consequences for these scooter renters for failing to
comply with the rules, why would they ever comply?
