Good morning, Early next week, Coral Construction will complete line post layout and installation on Interstate 90 (I 90) between Manhattan and Belgrade. Crews will be working in this area tomorrow, Saturday June 24, from 5 a.m. to noon, and the week of June 26, Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lane closures. Line post layout and installation will begin between Belgrade and Bozeman Tuesday, June 27. Lane closures will occur 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. Crews will be working in the median. This will require the left lanes closest to the median on both sides of Interstate 90 (I 90) to be closed where work is occurring. Crews will also be performing cleanup activities throughout the project area during theday. There will be a brief period between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Monday, June 26, andFriday, June 30, when crews will be working in two areas requiring separate construction zones with reduced speed limits. Crews will be separated by at least five miles, and each work site will require lane closures. Please slow down, follow traffic control, and watch for workers and equipment throughout the project area. Drivers should anticipate minor travel delays. Fourth of July work schedule: Work will pause starting Saturday, July 1, through Sunday, July 9, to accommodate increased holiday traffic and give workers time to spend with their families. Crews will return on Monday, July 10. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Make a Sober Ride Part of Your Fourth of July Plans. For many Montanans, Memorial Day weekend kicks off the start of summer travel, culminating with Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately, these summer months can also be some of the deadliest on Montana’s roads due to increased motor vehicle crashes. To help ensure everyone enjoys a safe holiday weekend, law enforcement agencies and the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) will be increasing patrols towatch for and stop impaired drivers on Montana’s roadways. Before you make plans to celebrate Fourth of July, plan for safe, sober transportation and insist your friends and family do the same. Remember to always buckle up before you go, as using your seat belt is your best defense against serious injury or deathin the event you’re in a crash.
