Agricultural Water User Facilities
The site was previously used for the production of hay. Other land in the vicinity is used for
production of hay and for residential and commercial purposes.
An unidentified irrigation ditch starts on the southside of the subject property and extends north
by northwest across the west boundary then west on the adjacent property. The irrigation ditch
was decommissioned with the construction of the Alder Creek Subdivision to the south. The
channel did not contain any surface water on the subject property. The entire agricultural area
has been drying up in the last decade as channel and irrigation ditch alignments have been
abandoned or altered to accommodate surrounding roads and subdivisions.
All impacted ditches still in use will be piped to allow for continued conveyance of water
rights to downstream users. The alignments of the piped ditches will be generally consistent
with the existing flow line of the ditch. If any realignment is determined to be necessary, it
will comply with all relevant requirements of state law.
