To whom it may concern: I’m sending this email to show my support of Park’s Division 2024 Cash-in-lieu of Parkland budget proposal, and to ask that it be approved. There is a very large beach volleyball community here in Bozeman that have been desperatelytrying to find a way to make something like this happen for years. We would love to have a location that is truly family friendly (unlike what Glen Lake Rotary Park has become over thelast few years) and has multiple courts in order to host tournaments that would bring in people not just from our own state, but also Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming, as well as leagues, specialevents, and regular pickup games. We also have two beach volleyball clubs in the area that are growing each year and need— again!— a family friendly and safe environment where they can practice. Currently, they aretrying to cram onto a privately owned court because the constant harassment they received at Glen Lake Rotary Park pushed them off those courts. The use of one private court isunrealistic to sustain even one club, let alone two. Beach volleyball is one of the fastest growing sports in the NCAA right now and can provide a lot of the youth in our communitywith opportunities to play in college and get paid for it, but we need that safe place that is big enough to be able to train them. The Bozeman beach volleyball community is also incredibly willing to lend a hand and help inany way to make this project happen. Thank you for your consideration. Have a great weekend! All the best, Deborah Schendel
