Good morning, Next week, only one crew will be installing high-tension median cable rail along Interstate 90 (I 90), requiring only one set of lane closures throughout the project area. Line post layout and installation will continue between the Manhattan and Belgrade areas. The westbound and eastbound left lanes closest to the median will be closed. Crews will be on-site Monday to Friday, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, from 6 a.m. to noon. Work will also occur tomorrow, Saturday, June 3, from 6 a.m. to noon. Drivers should anticipate minor travel delays due to lane closures and reduced speeds. Please slow down and watch for workers and equipment. Seat Belts Save Lives! Buckle Up, Montana. For many Montanans, Memorial Day weekend kicks off the start of summer travel, culminating with Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately, these summer months can also be some of the deadliest on Montana’s roads due to increased motor vehicle crashes. As part of a nationwide “Click It or Ticket” mobilization running from May 15, 2023, through June 4, 2023, law enforcement agencies and the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) will be out to educate motorists and enforce Montana’s seat belt law statewide. Before you make plans to travelthis Memorial Day weekend, commit to always buckle up before you go, and insist your friends and family do the same. Using your seat belt is your best defense against serious injury or death in the event you’re in a crash. This is a Vision Zero Message from the Montana Department of Transportation.
