We strongly object to the approval of the above Special Use Permit. This business would
create a traffic safety issue. In particular, Davis North is only two lanes wide.
Access and egress is one issue. Traffic flow would be another issue. Before this business is
allowed a permit, the intersection of Baxter and Davis should be redesigned by Bozeman City
Traffic
Engineers. Plans for the reconstruction should be complete and budget issues addressed.
Then and only then should the Application considered.
The city should be pushing traffic to main city thoroughfares for Gasoline not to residential
areas.
Noise, odor and light pollution is another concern. The gas service is 24 hours and the
business is open 6am to 11pm. 20 plus houses and 100 ish apartment/condos directly view
this
space....plus the numerous homes and apt/condos that have a partial view. How would you
like that across from your house?
No matter what they tell you, the odor of gasoline will always be around.
Neighborhood business’s are fine but no Neighborhood needs a Gas Station that generates
heavy traffic and bright lights!
Please turn down this application
Respectfully,
Ron and Barb Adlington
