Lemert - Public Comments Letter for Application #22039From:Matthew Lemert To:Nakeisha Lyon; Agenda Subject:Public Comments Letter for Application #22039 Date:Friday, May 26, 2023 11:39:50 AM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. To Whom it May Concern, I am writing this email in opposition to the approval of the Thriftway Super Stop Site Plan which would be located directly adjacent to multiple single family homes in a residential areanear the intersection of Baxter and Davis. The proposed plan and structures would be the definition of a nuisance per se. It is inherently flawed and makes no sense given the neighborhood surroundings and abundance of gasstations already available nearby on more accessible routes which are not directly adjacent to family homes on already crowded high traffic streets. Besides the detrimental increase in traffic in a family area, the lights and noises from a 24 gasstation would cause significant harm to surrounding neighborhoods. Also given that homes directly facing the proposed gas station were limited by the City of Bozeman regarding theheights of their privacy fencing, these family homes, limited to a 4’ privacy fence, would be showered with a non-stop barrage of around the clock noise and light pollution. More specifically, this application should be denied because it does not meet Bozeman’s cityrequirement for safe access so close to the intersection of Baxter and Davis, as required by BMC 38.400.090. For this reason, in addition to good common sense by the City of Bozeman,Application #22039 and the special permit required under BMC 38.230.120 should bedenied. Looking forward to a swift end to this matter and better, more suitable options that will benefitall of Bozeman. Cheers! -- Matthew S.
