Rouse Avenue Bozeman, MT 59718 1 am writing to you today to discuss the ongoing situation with housing in Bozeman. These challenges are not insurmountable, however, and there are steps that local officials and businesses can take to help alleviate the current housing crisis. For instance, local officials may require developers to prioritize affordable housing when planning new housing projects, and they may also consider offering incentives to developers who create affordable housing options. As a result, many individuals and families have been priced out of homes they were hoping to purchase or rent, and many are struggling to find suitable housing altogether. Many factors contribute to this issue, including a lack of available land, limited zoning options, and inadequate public transportation. The real estate market in Bozeman has become extremely competitive, with rental prices skyrocketing and housing inventory remaining extremely low. Businesses can also pitch in by offering workers incentives to live closer to their workplaces, encouraging more walkable neighborhoods and reduced reliance on cars, and partnering with local organizations to build more affordable homes. In conclusion, the housing crisis in Bozeman is a serious problem that requires our city's attention and action Sincerely, -weston
