My concern is the proposed ban of fireworks within the city. I do understand the dilemma for
the ban. However, before the July 4th fireworks event in town at the MSU football field, thento the fairgrounds, people would drive out in the surrounding areas to set off their fireworks. I
live in Baxter Creek 1 subdivision and many of our streets would have revelers parked on ourstreets, setting off fireworks and leaving spent fireworks trash, food waste including
beverages (mostly beer cans and bottles). This behavior is also a fire hazard as most of ushave large lots. How could the City Commissioners formulate a workable solution should this
occur again?
