Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Good morning, Coral Construction Company will have two crews working to install the high-tension median cable rail along Interstate 90 (I 90) in the Bozeman area next week, starting at Three Forks and working east to Belgrade. One crew will continue installing anchor posts starting in the Manhattan area. A second crew will begin laying out and installing line posts starting in the Three Forks area and working east. Crews will be separated by at least five miles, and each work site will require lane closures. The westbound and eastbound left lanes will be closed closest to the median in both construction areas. Speeds are reduced through the construction zone. Please slow down and be mindful of workers, signage, and equipment. Drivers should anticipate minor travel delays due to lane closures and reduced speeds. Next week, crews will be on-site Tuesday to Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Saturday, only the crew installing line posts will be on-site, requiring only one area of westbound and eastbound lane closures. Remember the three Ss of work zone safety when traveling through the project sites: speed, space, and stress. Slow down when approaching work zones and follow posted speed limits. Leave adequate braking room between your vehicle and the one ahead of you. Keep your cool, pay attention, and plan for delays. This safety improvement project will install more than 40 miles of high-tension cable rail along I 90 in the Bozeman area, from Three Forks east to Bear Canyon. Medianhigh-tension cable rail has been proven to reduce the severity of crashes and prevent fatal crashes caused by vehicles crossing the median into oncoming traffic. Keep Your Focus on the Task at Hand: Driving! Distracted driving is dangerous and involves any activity that takes your attention away from the task at hand and the road ahead. This includes using a mobile device, eating, drinking, talking, or tending to passengers in your vehicle, adjusting your vehicle’s entertainment or navigation system, or anything that disrupts your focus. Text messaging or other communication with an electronic device while driving is oneof the most common distracted driving behaviors. Many drivers don’t realize how deadly these actions can be, but sending or reading a mobile message physically takes your eyes off the road for at least 5 seconds. When driving at 55 mph, that's like driving the length of an entire football field with your eyes closed. If your attention ison anything other than driving and the road ahead, you put yourself, your passengers, and other roadway users at risk. Help keep our roads safe for everyone by putting distractions aside every time you operate a motor vehicle.
