The 2023 Montana Housing Partnership Conference is only two weeks
away! Have you registered?
If not, visit https://www.mthousingpartnership.org/2023-conference to
register prior to May 10, when registration closes.
This year’s agenda is packed with relevant content, activities and
networking opportunities, including these four great plenary sessions:
25 Years of Homes Montanans Can Afford
To kick things off, we will reflect on successes and lessons learned
regarding housing work in Montana. NeighborWorks Montana celebrates its
25th anniversary this year and brings to the stage veteran housing
practitioners and advocates who have been part of building a resilient and
effective affordable housing community.
We will also invite participants to be part of a collaborative history project
documenting shared milestones and successes, and looking to what’s next
in our partnership to create opportunities for home.
Planning + Zoning
Affordable housing advocates are increasingly turning to planning and
zoning reform and advocating for funding for affordable and workforce
housing as a tool at the local and state levels for improving the housing
supply side of the affordable housing equation. Hear why scholars and
advocates are taking this stance, and the importance they think this has for
the future of homes that are affordable.
MiCASiTA Housing Design and Innovation
Building on the success of the RAPIDO model featured at the 2017
Montana Housing Conference, Come Dream Come Build is offering
MiCASiTA, an alternate approach to providing housing to some of the
hardest to reach and most challenged communities across the country.
MiCASiTA will share its latest approach and how it could be implemented in
Montana's rural and Native communities.
Stories from the Tell Us Something Workshop
The closing plenary will feature storytellers sharing their true tales of
housing and home. A good story has the power to inspire understanding,
acceptance and empathy. Both veteran and new storytellers will grace the
stage to close out the conference.
