Montana Board of Crime Control Funding Opportunity
Dear Subscriber,
MBCC is seeking applicants for the Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (Byrne
SCIP) - Local Pass Through (Less than $10,000 Jurisdictions) funding opportunity.
Eligible applicants limited to less than $10,000 jurisdictions within the state, and
state and local courts that provide criminal justice and civil justice services to one
or more of the less than $10,000 jurisdictions within the state. Not sure if you're a
less than $10,000 jurisdiction? Check this document.
All funds must be utilized to support state and local courts that provide criminal justice and
civil justice services to one or more of the less than $10,000 jurisdictions within the state.
The purpose of this funding is to prevent or reduce crime and violence, with a particular
focus on gun violence and programs and initiatives that target the risk factors that are
likely to lead to this kind of violence. Priorities under this funding opportunity include:
1. Treatment court acceptance and addressing of violent offenders while helping
mitigate gun violence programs.
2. Treatment court acceptance and addressing domestic violence victims ending up in
court due to committing crimes programs.
Approximately $167,107 will be available during the project period.

SCIP) - Local Pass Through (Direct) funding opportunity.
Eligible applicants include local governments. Applicants could include, but are not
limited to, organizational units of government. Nonprofit agencies are NOT
eligible applicants, but may participate if contracted by a local government
applicant agency.
The purpose of this funding is to prevent or reduce crime and violence, with a particular
focus on gun violence and programs and initiatives that target the risk factors that are
likely to lead to this kind of violence. Priorities under this funding opportunity include:
1. Initiate and support School Resource Officer (SRO) training programs
2. Initiate and support school and community-based mental health with youth-focused
programs
3. Initiate co-responder training programs
Approximately $387,905 will be available during the project period.
