Mayor & Commissioners:
It is my understanding that the Commission as recently approve the Canyon Gate Subdivision
preliminary plat. There are serious public safety concerns with an additional 400+ households north
of the railroad tracks.
I have heard public comment raising this concern, but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. This is a
real public saftey concern for which the Commission is responsible for upholding. I encourage you
to read the attached article to help inform yourselves about the real risks to the public which you
may not realizes you are adding to through your actions. I'd encourage you to deny any further
development north of the railroad tracks, including Canyon Gate until a safe and open route can be
provided across the railroad tracks.

Perhaps this has been considering by you and you're able to alleviate my concern by sharing a
plan to mitigate such risks. Please reach out to me if you'd like to discuss. Thanks for your
thoughtful consideration.
Respectfully,
