Regarding the discussion around a possible ban of fireworks in the city limits of Bozeman I want to say- BRING IT ON! There is a time and a place for most things. But even a five day window, which isabused into a 30 day window, is way, way too much window to allow dangerous, obnoxious fireworks to be allowed in Bozeman. That narrow window and the current restrictions-hours and locations- have never, ever been enforced. Bozemanis a very rare exception to most municipalities around the country, even the state, inallowing any fireworks activity at all. It is time for Bozeman to grow up. There is enough noise already. And as a community which extols its love for dogs, or cats, how can we keep torturing these best friends with a clear conscience? And even more importantly are the citizens who are sensitive to such activities, think PTSD,who are sleepless and marginalized during these times Summer nights are precious and don't have to be times of anxiety because of the disruptions caused by the few self centered characters.
