Commissioners:
I live on Alderson St. across from South Side Park and enthusiastically support a ban on the use of fireworks.
Despite rules limiting their use, they are set off at all hours and much louder than is reasonable. Given the risks of
injury, fire, disruption and confrontation it is hard to believe that they are still allowed. There are many better ways
to celebrate our independence than explosive devices and I hope that you will agree by passing the ban proposed by
Chief Waldo.
