I am writing in regards to the fireworks meeting on Tuesday. The city fireworks and the ones
that people light at home for weeks before and after are very disruptive to both wildlife andmany people. Also to pets, many of which get so stressed they jump through window screens
or doors in a panic. This isn't even a comprehensive list of all of the negative effects theyhave.
How sad that we have a large budget for fireworks that cause incredible stress for ourveterans, while there are so many of those veterans who are homeless. I gave one a ride last
week, he's a Vietnam veteran who lives in a tent behind Kenyon Noble. I can't see the fun offireworks when they cause more stress and anxiety for people and animals than they do good
for them.Please consider a thoughtful alternative for Bozeman's Independence day festivities.
