People are being forced to move out of their homes by their landlords, with only 30 days to pack up their life and move out. The price of houses is rising and some people can't keep up with rent. This isn't enough time to find a new horne, especially in Bozeman. Reading the "Amid tight housing market, some in Bozeman turn to RVs as permanent homes" by the Bozeman Daily Chronicle has put a new perspective in my mind on the RV's parked on the street all over town. Being homeless isn't always a choice; some people get addicted to drugs, some people lose their homes, get laid off, and some sell their homes and move into an RV. This all started during the beginning of COVID. Caused by catastrophic job loss, and severe economic hardship. RV's are taking over the streets in Bozeman, and may soon cause problems; such as people vandalizing their RV's, making our streets crowded and messy. Giving tickets won't solve the problem, the solution to get these people off the streets is to build a campsite meant for people who lost their homes and moved into a RV and need somewhere to live. Therefore, being able to get the people off the streets and make a safe place to live by creating a campsite for them. I know you already are very much aware but a solution needs to take place now, and I have proposed a solution for you. Create an environment where people alike have lost their homes for various reasons can have a place to park their RV's. Funding may be a tough situation, because for us alike that pay taxes; we shouldn't have to pay for their new area. People who would like to move into this new campsite would have to pay fees so it can stay nice, and have a Host make sure some rules are put in place. It can't be a free for all. This solution can be one of many but action needs to be taken place to get people that are parked on the streets off, and people a safe place to park and call home. Sincerely, Avery Moen
