Rouse Avenue Bozeman MT, 59715 Dear commissioner Pomeroy A problem has been coming up recently and I think you know what it's about. The rent here is increasing too fast and too high, it's been a problem for the last few years, and it's causing a lot of problems even though more people are coming to Bozeman. Bozeman is increasing and we are building more out toward the mountains, pretty soon we will be building in the mountains and that wouldn't be good at all no one would like that. building out into more land to increase Bozeman will cost lots and lots of money and maybe we need to take it slow because we may be building too fast for the community. The cost here for a one bedroom apartment is a little over $2,000 for rent and sometimes people can't afford that and that pushes the people that lived in Bozeman their whole life out of here according to daily interlake of kalispell There are goods to this for some people like landlords. They raise it because they have to make a living too but the people don't like it and start threatening landlords because the rent goes higher and higher. The vacancy rate is consistently below 2%. People are very lucky to find a place to rent to live in Bozeman. These are just some of the problems I've heard and read about on the internet and it's just constantly coming up and people constantly complain about out of staters that keep coming in. The People that grew up in Bozeman and stayed in Bozeman their whole life want it like that and are tired of everything going up in prices and tired of people constantly coming into this town. We don't want the town to start growing constantly and start growing into the mountains, it wouldn't be good at all. THese are problems we hear about daily and i don't have anything to do with this. I think bozeman is just fine as it is right now and don't want it to grow so fast. Sincerely Troy, Hugs
