Dear City of Bozeman,
I am writing to express my strong support for the possible ban on fireworks within the city limits. As the sale of
fireworks is already prohibited within the city, it only makes sense to extend this ban to their use as well.
The use of fireworks can cause a great deal of distress and harm to the community, including to animals, children,
veterans, and those who have to work during the holiday season. The loud noises and bright lights can be especially
traumatic for pets and wildlife, who have no way of understanding what is happening.
Furthermore, the use of fireworks can also pose a significant fire hazard, putting people and property at risk. We
have seen too many instances of wildfires sparked by fireworks, which can have devastating consequences for the
community and the environment.
Therefore, I urge the City of Bozeman to ban fireworks within city limits to promote the safety and well-being of
our community. I encourage you to support this proposal at the upcoming meeting on Tuesday, April 18th, at 6:00
pm.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
