As I understand it the city is about to set the pay for its female judge lower than the pay for its male judge even after
just passing its equal pay proclamation. I would request that if that’s the case you need to pull this agenda item and
reconsider this action. If you are going to talk the talk then you need to walk the walk. Equal pay for the same
positions.
The city will be asking it’s taxpayers to fund a number of initiatives this year and if it’s not living up to it’s promises
of meeting equal pay then I would find it very hard to support any of them and would work to defeat them.
