Obviously the City of Bozeman is opening themselves to civil liability by approving, and continuing to approve, a 15% ChiefJudge Director benefit for a male judge (15%) and reducing the same benefit for a female judge. Not sure if the commission is aware of the disparity, but obviously immediate action isrequired. Its also significant to note that a female part time police officer working for the City of Bozeman is never afforded merit, longevity, or step raises, while other full time (male)officers are given those benefits. A part time officer working for the city for 10 years makes the same pay as a new hire officer, while male officers are given yearly raises. The only raisesthey get are occasional cost of living adjustments. They have different representation (union vs unrepresented) but this is one reason the second part time officer position has remainedunfilled for 2 years. Notably it has only been filled by women. The City needs to address this disparity in how men and women are treated by the City of Bozeman. Kurt Klewin 2014 Commonwealth St Bozeman, MT
