COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN.
MONTANA. IN MEMORIAM TO MilTON WilLIAM VANDEVENTER AND TO
EXTEND CONDOLENCES AND SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
WHEREAS. Milton W. Vandeventer. former City Commissioner of the City of Bozeman.
Montana, died on Friday. December 15. 1995; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Vandeventer has maintained residence in Bozeman since the 1960's and
has been an outstanding citizen of the community; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Vandeventer served the City government of Bozeman with unusual
dedication and distinction, being elected to the City Commission for two consecutive terms
commencing in January 1972 and ending in December 1981; and
WHEREAS, Milton W. Vandeventer provided exemplary and dedicated service to the
citizens of Bozeman; and
WHEREAS. he had many civic affiliations, demonstrated by his participation in the
Baghdad Shrine. Masonic Lodge #18. B.P.O.E., Chamber of Commerce and Exchange Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, herewith extends its most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Milton William
Vandeventer in this, their hour of bereavement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Commission is herewith instructed to
convey this measure to Mr. Vandeventer's family and to officially record this resolution in the
minutes of the regular meeting of the City Commission on the 18th day of December 1995.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a
regular session thereof held on the 18th day of December 1995.
