Hi Mary,
I apologize for the difficulties you experienced last night. I will get together with to see if we can
identify what happened. I see our streaming platform recorded the meeting, so it would have been
broadcast live. Our WebEx settings for this meeting were the same as the settings for Tuesday’s City
Commission meeting because they are set by template.
We have never had the ability to raise hand or unmute via phone in three years of WebEx.
I hope you will submit your comments on the presentation to the Board in writing and we will
continue to troubleshoot going forward. Our intention since moving to the hybrid model has always
been to allow remote participants to make comments through our platform.
Thank you for letting us know.

Dear Mr. Brit Fontenot, Director of Economic Development / City of Bozeman:
I was able to watch the 6-8:00pm meeting tonight for the Economic Vitality Board and it was excellent!
There was no Live Feed to click on, at 6pm MDT 4/5/2023, so I Registered via Clicking the Via Video
Conference link on the Agenda.
I know that WebEx was upgraded or revised this week, but I was able to watch & hear your meeting,
presenters, and board discussions.
However, there was no means by which to "raise" one's hand on WebEx... simply not there, even
clicking Participants or by my name.
I also tried calling-in by phone and that did work to just for audio/listening, but the *3 disallowed
Raising Hand, & *6 did not allow unmute. I think these have to be enabled by someone at the City in
that meeting for there to be anyone hybrid/remote to be able to try to make Public Comment via WebExor Phone. In emailing you as I hope that technical features can be worked out & soon. The meeting today had verygood topics, excellent data and info presented, great questions and input from the Board members--all ofthem including the most newly seated board member, too... and City Commission Liaison Chris Coburnas well. Highly appreciative of being able to listen and learn via hybrid/remote means, but I do strongly believethat allowing Public Comment to be given is important and helpful to the process. David Fine did mention
that his topic and presentation came from many other people/places. Board member also Craig spoke tothe need for timing to have docs/drafts, input points, and time for the public inputs to be incorporatedincluding the DEI presentation and schedule/timing at the beginning of your meeting, plus also to/for morediversity from renters, and other people/groups for Affordable Housing discussions. Thanks to Bozeman and City Commission for funding towards some more affordability--hope it does workand become fruitful. I was really just making time to listen to this Economic Vitality Board and to learn more and also about theMT Legislature items, too. Best regards, Mary Wictor1504 Boylan Rd, Bozeman P.S. This email is also addressed to agenda@bozeman.net since my typing here has turned into a Public
Comment for EVB & techsupt.
