Ms. Garber, I am one of the homeowners immediately adjacent to the lot being developed by the church at the corner of Ferguson and Durston. I am happy to see them making progress and proceeding with their plans of building. Based on the proposal displayed it sounds as if they have taken great thought and consideration into the needs of their congregation while at the same time being mindful of the neighboring community. The plans for open space and walking trails sound particularly beneficial to the community. I do wish there were more details about the planned locations of the buildings for the two phases as well as all the parking. As excited as I am to have them as neighbors, I do have a few concerns/comments. 1. A 10 foot wide paved path on the north boundary of the property seems a bit excessive in size and scale. A 6-8 foot wide gravel path would seem to be sufficient as the children in the neighborhood already have nice sidewalks via which to navigate to school and any path on the north side would largely lead to nowhere at this junction. 2. I would hope that any lighting for the parking lot and outdoors in minimized and done in a thoughtful way to minimize environmental light pollution. 3. I would as that the contractors also keep their lighting usage to a minimum and directed away from the immediate neighbors. 4. I would also hope that a traffic analysis has been done to determine the best locations for the entrances and exits to minimize the impact on the already busy streets that run along the property. 5. The contractors should also be held accoutable to the impact of their vehicles and comings/goings during the building process. Thank you for considering my points. Ultimately, I sincerely look forward to seeing the progress of this project and the overall benefits it will have to the community. Sincerely, Jason Karro Sent from Mail for Windows
