Regarding the Shady Glen Development, previously, the Bridger Meadows, I am writing to express my concern once again about this development. Since this development was voted down July 20,2021, I am a bit surprised it is once again taking up the valuable time of the commission. The fact of the matter is nothing has changed since the development was voted down the first time. Renaming it does not change anything in regards to the development. There is still only one viable point of access into the subdivision. A very major concern is the health and safety of the neighborhood. The viability of emergency access is very concerning. A gated “secondary emergency access” which is locked is most likely not even going to be clear in the winter time. In our neighborhood now, the postal employee only delivers mail part of the time because she cannot access our roadside mailbox because of the build up of snow. The property sits on existing wetlands. The developer has asked to reduce the required amount of watercourse setback which would cause more stress on the land that consistently floods. The city commissioners have expressed in the past their concern about cul de sacs not promoting traffic circulation or public health and satety. Of course this development would include one. Lastly, the development is not representative of an innovative or responsive plan for the needs of the community. The lots would be unaffordable or unattainable to most of Bozeman. Thank you for your kind consideration of my concerns. Sandra Goetting 1055 Boylan Rd. Bozeman, MT 59715 Sandragoetting@icloud.com Sent from my iPad
