This year's training focused on situations that may be interpreted multiple ways, or "grey area issues". The board engaged in discussion on several scenarios. H) Special Presentation I) Action Items J) 00:55:27 FYI/Discussions J.1 00:55:57 Fred Willson Multiple Property Submission Planner Rosenberg presented an update on the Fred Willson Multiple Property Submission project and provided an opportunity for the public to ask questions, particularly property owners who may be impacted by the creation of a multiple property district. A grant to fund the project has been applied for and contractors have been contacted. The board will contribute to completion of historic property record forms and discussed how the work may be divided. Tentative schedules for stages of the project and division of tasks were highlighted. Glen Brookhart of 1 W. Garfield Street offered a history of his property, which will potentially be included in the Fred Willson multiple property submission. J.2 01:23:56 Historic Preservation Month Discussion Planner Rosenberg presented an overview of the previous Historic Preservation Month and asked board members what their takeaways were to begin planning for the 2023 Historic Preservation Month. The group discussed approaches for outreach, themes, and other elements of the month-long recognition; particular attention was paid to how the board meeting scheduled during Historic Preservation Month could be used to encourage the public to participate more regularly.
