To Whom It May Concern,
I have a number of concerns and comments concerning Shady Glen Subdivision. I live in this neighborhood and
have watched development and proposed development in this area. My first comment is that this subdivision looks
similar if not the same as the Bridger Meadows development voted down in 2021. It does not appear to have any
major changes besides the name. Why are we revisiting a project that was not deemed worthy of permitting two
years ago?
I am not anti-development, but development should be well thought out and meet minimum requirements. This
project is seeking not one but six relaxations of normal building standards. Why is this acceptable?
I have serious reservations about relaxing standard 2.; the design of dual use access for pedestrians and emergency
vehicles. Safety should never be compromised in my opinion. Number 3. and 4. also relax standards for street design
and right of way. These standards can also affect safety as well as aesthetics.
Standard 5. affects watercourse and wetland buffers. We are also being asked to sacrifice environmental standards
for this project.
To summarize, I cannot condone this project or the relaxation of safety, environmental and aesthetic standards.
Please reject this proposal.
