Hurrah for Billings (and Montana State Representatives Kelly Kortum, Ed Stafman andDenise Baum)! Thanks to their work, allowing traffic cameras is now going to be up before
the legislature starting on Valentines day in Kelly Fulton’s name. Please have staff contactDanny below if you want them to help. This will take a concerted effort. Others on this email
list can help organize those who you know. We can do this if we all work together!
It’s easiest to read the bill in PDF form. Follow the link below and click on the “Introduced”PDF version.
Anyone can give me a call or email if you want to help push this effort in an organized way.
Maybe the School District or City would have a bus we could all take to the most importantmeetings in Helena.
And please let me know who to coordinate with in the City. We should have politicians,
police, engineers etc. And maybe it would even be a great idea to get this kind of thing (alongwith other legislation) on the City public email lists.

Rep. Ed Stafman from Bozeman has HB 414 (Allowing local governments to useRed Light Cameras) going into the House Judiciary Committee on 14 Feb 2023 at
8 am. (Co-sponsered by Rep Denise Baum of Billings).

We are working on talking points.
The ask is, we are setting up a structure to contact people moving forward as wethink this will be a multi-session process.
