HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3119 Intent to amend Master Plan on 19.957 acres, Urban Residential Infill - Smith: 3-20-96 3118 Authorization to finance front end loader COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3119 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONT ANA, STATING THE CITY'S INTENT TO AMEND THE 1990 BOZEMAN AREA MASTER PLAN UPDA TE BY ESTABLISHING AN INITIAL LAND USE DESIGNATION OF "URBAN RESIDENTIAL INFILL" ON 19.957 ACRES KNOWN AS THE EAST ONE-HALF OF THE WEST ONE-HALF OF THE EAST ONE-HALF OF THE SOUTHEAST ONE-QUARTER OF SECTION 3, TOWNSHIP 2 SOUTH, RANGE 5 EAST, MONTANA PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, GALLATIN COUNTY, MONTANA. WHEREAS, Planning staff has processed an application for a Master Plan Amendment to incorporate an initial land use designation of "Urban Residential Infill" on a 19.957-acre parcel lying along the north side of Durston Road, at Meagher Avenue extended, into the 1990 Bozeman Area Master Plan Update; and WHEREAS, the Planning staff assessed the application in light of the criteria set forth for review of Master Plan Amendments; and WHEREAS, the City-County Planning Board conducted a public hearing on an application for said amendment at its regular meeting held on April 2, 1996, taking into careful consideration the criteria set forth for review of Master Plan Amendment applications; and WHEREAS, the City-County Planning Board found that the application complies with each of the approval criteria established in Chapter 5 of the 1990 Bozeman Area Master Plan Update, and that the proposed amendment constitutes an overall improvement to the Plan; and WHEREAS, subsequent to its public hearing, the City-County Planning Board voted, on a vote of 9 to 0, to forward a recommendation of approval; and WHEREAS, the City Commission conducted its public hearing on said amendment at its regular meeting held on April 15, 1996, taking into careful consideration the criteria set forth for review of Master Plan Amendment applications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, that it intends to revise the Master Plan to denote an initial land use designation of "Urban Residentiallnfill" on 19.957 acres known as the East one-half of the West one-half of the East one-half of the Southeast one-quarter of Section 3, Township 2 South, Range 5 East, Montana Principal Meridian, Gallatin County, Montana, into the 1990 Bozeman Area Master Plan Update. ~- - - -.. --. ....----- ..--.--.--..- ... ..- PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a regular session thereof held on the 20th day of May 1996.
