Hello everyone,
I wanted to send a quick email to follow-up on the City Commission Paid Parking Work
Session this week. This is a sensitive issue and there is a lot of passion for around
solving our downtown parking issues and what that looks like in the future.
First, I’d like to thank the City Commissioners for listening to the downtown business
and property owners. Many individuals have put much thought and energy into this
issue, and I know many feel they have finally been heard through this process.
I’d also like to thank the city staff for their time and energy towards solving our public
parking issues. Although a paid parking model is not in our immediate future, we look
forward to working together on future parking management.
In short, the hard work has just begun. We are up for the challenge and think all of you
are too. Thanks, Ellie
