Dear Members of the Parks Board, City Staff, and Commission, If possible I would appreciate this message also being provided to members of the Transportation Board but I realize their regularly scheduled meeting including this topic waslast evening and as such I may be too late. I am writing in regards to the Active Transportation Plan which is part of the Parks Recreation and Active Transportation (PRAT) plan set to replace the 2007 PROST plan. This plan hasbeen a generally successful document that set the stage for many exceptional improvements in Bozeman during a wildly turbulent time of economic ups and downs and culminating nowduring a time of relentless and only somewhat uncontrolled growth. The plan has been in existence slightly longer than the entirety of my time living in Bozeman, including the nearly10 years I spent as a volunteer on the Bozeman Area Bicycle Advisory Board. With the city's switch to the new "super board" structure it is of critical importance that the members of thoseboards who specialize in and are familiar with the subset information they specialize (e.g. bike/ped and trails) have ample time to review these plans prior to it landing before the gavelof the Commission (i.e. members of Transportation Board with bike and ped specialty and members of the Parks Board with trails specialization need time to thoroughly review). I amwriting to specifically request more time be provided for review of this document to the Transportation Board prior to the final draft being sent to the Commission for vote. Sincerely,Sam Haraldson 211 Lindley Pl, Bozeman
