Dear City Commissioners,
I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed implementation of a paid parking
program in downtown Bozeman. As a downtown business and property owner, I believe that
the program would place an economic burden on employees and negatively impact business
activity.
The cost of living in Bozeman and the region has risen significantly in recent years and many
residents, who are also employees and customers, are struggling to keep up. A paid parking
program would add to this burden. I respectfully request that the commission put a hold on
this initiative and work with the business and downtown community to find alternative
solutions to the parking supply issue.
I am willing to participate in discussions regarding a special improvement district (SID), public-
private partnership, or other options to mitigate parking issues. It is important to consider the
impact on our community before implementing a paid parking program and to find a solution
that works for all.
