Mitch Buthod stated the revisions of the January 26th, 2022 minutes incorrectly stated that Bill Fogarty was Present and Dave Gates was absent. STRATEGIC PLAN:1.3 Public Agencies Collaboration: Foster successful collaboration with other public agencies and build on these successes. BACKGROUND:The US Census Bureau has released the official list of Urban Areas from the 2020 Census. The list and additional information regarding Urban designation can be found here: https://www.census.gov/programs- surveys/geography/guidance/geo-areas/urban-rural.html Based on the official designation that the Bozeman Urban area has exceeded the 50,000 person threshold, MDT has begun the process of Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) designation. Designation is an administrative process led by MDT, in coordination with the local entities, to have the Governor formally designate the MPO. Once designation by the governor has taken place, the local entities begin the process, with guidance from MDT, of MPO Formation. Committee Representatives that have been involved with initial MPO meetings will provide additional information and updates on the designation process to date. The Committee will vote on approval of the Working Group as the official body to coordinate with MDT on the designation process.
