The majority of the public parking shortage was created by the City. Now merchants are expected to solve a
problem they didn't create. There was adequate parking until commissioners began giving our public parking spaces
to developers for their exclusive, for profit ventures. All buildings must be required to provide 100% self contained
parking on their own premises. Use a below grade garage or one on the lower floors. Do not increase building
heights. Developers will cry but they can do it.
